    Ingredients

    • 175 g plain flour
    • 125 g cold, unsalted butter cubed
    • Zest of 1 oranges
    • 1 teaspoons ground cinnamon
    • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
    • ½ large egg yolk
    • 1-2 teaspoons milk/non-dairy milk (as needed)
    • Pinch of salt
    • 10 g SPLENDA® Granulated

    Instructions

    Place the flour, salt, butter and orange zest in a food processor and blend until it resembles fine breadcrumbs. Add the Splenda Granulated and cinnamon and mix.

    Add the vanilla extract and egg yolk and mix again. If the dough doesn’t come together then add a little bit of milk, a teaspoon at a time until the dough clumps together.

    Shape the dough into a disc, wrap in clingfilm and put them in the fridge for half an hour.

    Roll the disc out on a lightly floured surface to about 0.5 cm to 1 cm thick and use floured cutters to cut out your choice of shapes.

    Place them slightly spaced apart on a couple of baking trays lined with baking parchment.

    Place the baking trays in the freezer for 15 minutes while you preheat the oven to 180°C.

    Bake the frozen biscuits for approximately 7-10 minutes, or until golden.
