    Ingredients

    • ⅓ tablespoon arrowroot or cornflour
    • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    • 4 medium egg yolks
    • 480 ml skimmed milk
    • 120 ml whole milk
    • 120 ml heavy cream
    • ½ tablespoons vanilla extract
    • 13 g Splenda Granulated

    Instructions

    In a large, heavy saucepan, stir together Splenda Sweetener, arrowroot or cornflour, and nutmeg.

    In a bowl, whisk egg yolks until smooth. Add to dry ingredients, whisking until blended. Gradually whisk in milk.

    Cook mixture over low heat, whisking constantly, until the temperature reaches 80°C, 5–8 minutes.

    Remove from heat and whisk in half-and-half. Let cool.

    Cover and chill for 3 hours or up to 3 days. Stir in vanilla extract just before serving.
