Baked Maple Custard

Cooking time: 35-40 minutes
Ingredients:
1 egg
1 egg yolk
300ml/½pt semi skimmed milk
3 tbsp SPLENDA® Granulated
1 tsp vanilla essence
4 tsp maple syrup
Method:
1 Preheat the oven to 180°C/170°C Fan/Gas Mark 4.
2 Whisk eggs until blended. Add milk, SPLENDA® Granulated and vanilla essence. Continue whisking until evenly blended.
3 Pour 1 tsp maple syrup into the bottom of each of four (175 ml) ramekin or similar dishes.
4 Gently pour custard mixture on top. Place cups in baking pan and pour boiling water to within ½-inch (2 cm) of top of dishes.
5 Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool on rack. Chill.
