Spiced Autumn Compote

Ingredients:

  • 100g white grapes
  • 100g black grapes
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • ½ cup of water
  • 2 apples
  • 2 pears
  • ½ level teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • A pinch of grated nutmeg
  • 1 clove
  • 1 heaped tablespoon SPLENDA® Granulated

For decoration

  • 1 orange cut into slices
  • 10 grapes

Method

  1. Wash and dry the grapes
  2. Squeeze the lemon into a bowl and set aside 
  3. Peel the apples and pears
  4. Core the apples and pears and remove the seeds
  5. Cut each apple and pear into 6 pieces
  6. Drizzle with the lemon juice
  7. Place all the fruits into a pan with ½ cup of water
  8. Sprinkle with the cinnamon and nutmeg
  9. Add the clove
  10. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes over a low heat
  11. Add SPLENDA® Granulated
  12. Mix well together
  13. Scoop the compote into serving dish
  14. Decorate with orange slices and grapes
  15. Leave to cool and serve 

Tip:
 You can prepare this compote with summer fruits, nectarines, apricots and peaches.
