Spiced Autumn Compote

Ingredients:

100g white grapes
-
100g black grapes
-
Juice of 1 lemon
-
½ cup of water
-
2 apples
-
2 pears
-
½ level teaspoon ground cinnamon
-
A pinch of grated nutmeg
-
1 clove
-
1 heaped tablespoon SPLENDA® Granulated
For decoration
-
1 orange cut into slices
- 10 grapes
Method
- Wash and dry the grapes
- Squeeze the lemon into a bowl and set aside
- Peel the apples and pears
- Core the apples and pears and remove the seeds
- Cut each apple and pear into 6 pieces
- Drizzle with the lemon juice
- Place all the fruits into a pan with ½ cup of water
- Sprinkle with the cinnamon and nutmeg
- Add the clove
- Cover and simmer for 15 minutes over a low heat
- Add SPLENDA® Granulated
- Mix well together
- Scoop the compote into serving dish
- Decorate with orange slices and grapes
- Leave to cool and serve
Tip:
You can prepare this compote with summer fruits, nectarines, apricots and peaches.
