Choc Chip Cookies

Cooking time: 12-15 minutes
Ingredients:
175g/6oz self raising flour
90g/3oz low-fat polyunsaturated margarine (31% fat)
12 level tbsp SPLENDA® Granulated
90g/3oz plain choc chips or chunks
3 tbsp apple puree or pure apple baby food
½ tsp vanilla essence
1 egg yolk
Method:
1 Preheat the oven to 180°C/170°C Fan/Gas Mark 4.
2 Sift the flour into a bowl. Rub in the margarine until it resembles breadcrumbs.
3 Stir in the SPLENDA® making sure that it is evenly distributed.
4 Add the choc chips or chunks, apple puree, vanilla essence and egg yolk, cutting through using a knife, then bring together to form a soft dough using your fingers or a spoon.
5 Cut mixture into 16 even-sized pieces. Lightly flour your hands and roll each piece into a ball.
6 Place on a non-stick baking sheet, or on baking paper, then press down to approx. ¼ inch height using the back of a damp fork.
7 Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden. Cool on the tray.
8 Store in an airtight container for 1-2 days.

Will keep longer if refrigerated.
